Based on the development orientation of China's textile industry in the "14th Five-Year Plan", when China basically realizes a socialist modern country in 2035, China's textile industry will become the main driver of the world's textile science and technology, an important leader of global fashion, and a powerful promoter of sustainable development. Li Lingshen proposed that in the future, the textile industry should create a first-class innovation ecology, form a closed loop of innovation in which the industrial chain innovation chain is intertwined and connected from end to end, and smooth the transformation path of scientific and technological achievements. In the face of key common technical problems such as new fiber materials and advanced textiles in the textile industry during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, it is urgent to accelerate the pace of scientific and technological innovation, open up the key raw materials that support the development of advanced fiber materials rely on imports, the level of high-end functional fiber special technology and equipment is low, and the key technology, equipment and industrial system supporting capacity of high-performance fiber is weak. Bio-based and degradable fiber key raw materials, fiber quality, single line scale and foreign countries have a big gap in the development of bottlenecks.

Multi-field, interdisciplinary, for the development of the industry direction

 Xu Weilin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Wuhan Textile University, and Cheng Bowen, director of the Academic Committee of Tianjin University of Science and Technology and director of the State Key Laboratory of Bioderived Fiber Manufacturing Technology, respectively put forward insights for the development of future fiber new materials from their respective research fields.

Chen Wenxing pointed out the necessity and practical solutions for the green development of the textile industry from the dimensions of green fiber raw materials, green fiber material preparation, green textile dyeing and finishing processing, green textile application, and green textile standard system construction.

In the face of the large health industry's demand for textile, Xu Weilin introduced the innovation mining direction of fiber materials in combination with medical and health practice and smart health practice. He pointed out that the development of functional fibers is a symbol of the progress of modern fiber science. The development of functional fibers, differential chemical fibers and high-performance fibers has created favorable conditions for the technological innovation of the traditional textile industry and the transformation into a high-tech industry, and has contributed to the improvement of human health and living standards.

As the director of the State Key Laboratory of Bioderived Fiber Manufacturing Technology, Bowen Cheng, combined with the work already carried out by the laboratory, put forward ideas for the development of green preparation technology for cellulose fibers. He believes that cellulose fiber friendly production methods need to be broken through, such as NMMO production costs and functionalization technology need to be innovative, and special industrial production line construction is necessary. Melt-blown/flash method nano microfiber production technology has high efficiency, nano microfiber production scale technology, the rapid extraction and recovery of fiber ultrafine solvent is easier than that of ordinary fiber, especially the application of compound new products is huge, worthy of attention and development. In the process of green and low-carbon development of textile industry, the preparation of cellulose fiber is of great significance, and it is believed that green and environmental protection preparation technology will empower the application and promotion of cellulose fiber.
