Recently, the School of Design of Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University of Technology launched the "Future Design Lab of Zhejiang University & Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University of Technology -2024 Clothing and Apparel intelligent Design Camp" to design the future with number intelligence.
This design camp invited teachers from the Future Design Laboratory of Zhejiang University and teachers majoring in clothing from the School of Design of Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University of Technology to participate in the Workshop to conduct intelligent clothing design and explore new ideas of combining fashion design and artificial intelligence. In the process of practice, the school of Design also invited Zhejiang Weixing Industrial Development Co., Ltd. to share the creative ideas of clothing accessories and physical teaching.
In the field of clothing design, the emergence of artificial intelligence-generated content technology (AIGC) is rapidly changing traditional working methods and business models, and providing a stronger technological driving force for the development of the clothing industry. The relevant teacher of the Future Design Laboratory of Zhejiang University said that fashion design is a process that highly relies on the designer's personal experience and creativity, from the first draft of the design to the display of the finished product, every detail needs to go through repeated deliberation and trial and error. With the help of AIGC, designers can more efficiently obtain inspiration, optimize design solutions, and quickly generate multiple design variants.
In this design camp, students learned how to make in-depth use of AIGC to create intelligent clothing and costumes, and mastered the complete process from data collection to practical operation, and then to design output. It is worth mentioning that the Future Design Laboratory of Zhejiang University was selected through job review, and the students majoring in clothing were given the opportunity to enter the future design laboratory for internship and co-training.
